How Cash Mob Myrtle Creek ♦ Tri-City started.....
Local business owner, Paulette Jones was watching the news one night and happen to see a story on the news about National Cash Mob Day. After contacting the Mayor, Chamber of Commerce and speaking with the City and a few business owners and local customers she thought this was a great idea for our area. She thought it would be great to get people out in a group setting and go shopping, meet new people and have a little fun!
With this plan and speaking with some of her friends in other areas that had taken part in one, the organizing began. She created Facebook, Twitter, Email and Websites accounts to spread the word to all local organizations and customers. Ted Romas is our PR guy, with all the answers to any media related questions and he also does a fantastic job of getting the stories written up and out to the press.
Thanks to Ted Romas, President of the Myrtle Creek/ Tri City Area Chamber of Commerce. Mayor of Myrtle Creek Dan Jocoy, and local business and sign maker Matt Boyd of Goin Postal. Also, with full support from our family. Especially Paulette's husband Brian, Dad, Ray. Ted's wife and fantastic picture taker Char Romas. A Leadership combination that can't be beat, We feel with the planning stages that were in place before the first Cash Mob took place, the work is going to pay off and Cash Mobs with be around for a long, long time,
We would also love to THANK every single one of you who show up to the Cash Mobs, it is because of your dedication to community and especially local businesses that our Cash Mob is maintaining it's goal, we have a great group of people that seem to grow and grow each month.
We are about ready to set out on our first mob........let the fun times begin!!!
