We have received such a great response from our community that we have enough businesses nominated to have Cash Mobs for at least the next 18 months! We have even received such a powerful response from outside our community, as well. Thank you all for being a part of doing something for the good of our community! Your support is always appreciated!

Cash Mob #3
Our next Cash Mob will be July 20th 5pm we will meet at Millsite Park! It is almost that time again. We are gearing up for another Cash Mob drawing. I must say, I am amazed with the response, we now have 18 businesses nominated! For the last few days I have been speaking to the business owners and getting their dates for our next MOB. The businesses in our community are so great and the owners and their employees are so friendly, and welcoming. This town has something so special and I just hope we never lose the down home welcoming feel, that is so powerful in our community. Hope to see you all at our next mob, which will be announced Thursday the 11th!
Hello
Paulette, My name is Kristen Bradley, and I am a specialist for CashMob.com. On behalf of myself and CashMob.com, I am honored to present to you the first ever Cash Mob "Making Change" Award. We feel that your mob on June 18, 2012 at Treasures of the Heart not only inspired members of the community, but also went beyond expectations with regards to marketing and social media outreach. We are extremely proud of your marketing efforts and selecting Myrtle Creek as our first award winner was a no-brainer. Your dedication has not only inspired us but other communities as well. As the winner of "Making Change," CashMob.com will feature an in-depth article highlighting your achievement on our home page. You will also receive a certificate of achievement, a custom press release on your behalf that will be distributed through various news portals and an official award winner seal that you can proudly display. For more information on this awards program, please visit http://www.cashmob.com/awards-program. We are very excited to present "Making Change" to you and the Myrtle Creek Chamber of Commerce and wish for your acceptance. Please feel free to contact me with any questions via the information listed below. Best Regards, Kristen Bradley If you are interested in helping with the mob in any way, please contact me. We are meeting at the empty parking lot across from the 76 station in Tri City on Saturday June 16th at 3pm. I went around to some of the businesses nominated today and I have got to say we have some amazing businesses and the owners and employees are so great! They are just so friendly and are doing such a great job, working long hours and just struggling to keep their doors open.
The reason I feel these small town businesses need to be saved is for so many reasons but most importantly, the service in Myrtle Creek and Tri City is 10 tens better than any big city around! Trust me I did my monthly shopping trip into Roseburg today as well, and had to go to Medford yesterday and our shop owners are the best! So let's keep these fantastic people working and shop local! Well the first mob was great! More people showed up than we expected and Kim & her family from Myrtle Creek dollar store were fantastic hosts! She was very grateful to you all! The mob was able to provide the store with advertising in three papers! We have had so many great responses and we look forward to our next mob. All details will be announced at the next chamber meeting June 7th 6pm @ Soco! Then on Facebook & our blog, so be on the look out!
Thanks again to all who came out! We have our first mob scheduled!

Thursday May 3rd we will be drawing the business that will host the first mob! We will be doing the drawing during the Chamber meeting at SUSD office at 6pm. Tshirts are prepared and being sold at Goin Postal! Thanks to Matt for all his work on this project. S,M,L,XL - $7.00 3XL-$10.00. Great reasonable prices too! We also have the help of Chamber President Ted Romas to contact all our media outlets. Media is also a big part of the Cash Mob. It is important to get the businesses as much publicity as possible to not only get some revenue during the mob, but to get new customers and let people see what this business has to offer! Thank you Ted! We are on our way, the time has come. It has been a very exciting and busy few weeks and all that is about to pay off for our grand town and the businesses that support the community all year long! |
